Date Posted:05/15/2017 21:34 PMCopy HTML Mushroom Pate Serves 4, Preparation time 10 minutes, plus chilling time, Power setting HIGH, Cooking time 6 and a half minutes. 40 g (1 and a half oz) butter 1 small onion, chopped 250 g (8 oz) flat mushrooms 113 g (4 oz) cream cheese 25 g (1 oz) fresh breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon mushroom ketchup salt & pepper to taste 1. Place the butter in a bowl & microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. Add the onion & cook for 2 minutes. 2. Chop the mushrooms finely, then squeeze them in kitchen paper to remove excess liquid. Add the onion & cook on HIGH for 4 minutes. Drain well. 3. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor, add the remaining ingredients & work to a rough puree. 5. Spoon the pate into a serving dish, cover & chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. Serve with Melba toast. |
